New Delights Falling

I can feel the sunlight falling
Palpable as golden rays
Heralding this dawn
And I can taste the colours
Like a symphony of flavour
That mimics lyrical sound
I am awash
In perfect morning
Senses fevered to new heights
And the autumn leaves are falling
Calling me to new delights

Deadwood

Deadwood
Floating downstream
I heard we were redundant
Our lives a pointless dream
And all that we had planned
Was nothing like it seemed
Just deadwood
Floating downstream

Deadwood
Bobbing as it flows
Our reckless future
Nothing we can know
And ever downwards
Is this how we go?
Just deadwood
Bobbing as it flows

Vacuum

You are ego walking
You are blood lust talking
All the dreams you’re stalking
Just an ego walking

Bully is your watchword
Kindness never occurred
Weakness is just absurd
Just a bully’s watchword

You are pure destruction
This is my deduction
Chaos is your function
Just a pure destruction

Leadership in vacuum
Can the end come too soon?
When will kindness resume?
Leadership in vacuum

Devil’s Knot

Caught in a devil’s knot
Betwixt and here between
Something essential that I yet forgot
Something I had seen

Trapped in the devil’s knot
Innocence fled me that night
Thus I have found the cursed spot
Nothing I saw was right

Bound by the devil’s knot
Ropes that no-one can see
Drawn to my appointed slot
Nothing’s so lost as me

Rose Red

Rose Red was her name
Palest skin
Lips of flame
When she’d gone
You weren’t the same
From her blood
Forever stained

Rose red was her hue
Seductress had
The best of you
Lashes long
O’er eyes so blue
What the price was
No-one knew

Ephemeral

Spinning
Dervish dancer
Seeping into water
You’re the springtime’s
Secret daughter
Ephemeral

Twirling
Ballerina
Quickly spinning flower
You’re the sensation
Of the hour
Ephemeral

Dancing
Evolution
Returning to your level
Are you angel now
Or devil?
Ephemeral

On My Own

I live alone
I’m on my own
A sentinel
To all I’ve known

You cannot reach
And cannot teach
I’m flotsam lost
Upon a beach

A citadel
Or none at all
My kingdom rises
Slowly falls

I live alone
I’m on my own
How I was born
And how I’ve grown

After the Storm

We will count the losses
After the storm
We will weep for fallen
On turbulent seas
We will hold those that grieve
The ones that mourn
And build our future
By slow degrees

We will pray for morning
A coppery sun
A cascade of colour
To obliterate grey
We will look in wonder
At all we’ve begun
And honour the losses
That paved the way

We will count the losses
After the storm
And herald the heroes
The world we have born

Soul Birth

Screaming
Crying a battle sound
emerging from the ether
Hurtling down
the soul on fire
eclipses all desire
Essential self
emerging from the All

In what cauldron
was this creature formed?
In pitiless need
driven and born?
A battle cry
at soul birth rings
And even heaven
Bows and sings

Flowers of the Moon

My child we know the truth too soon
These fragile flowers of the moon
May only by the night-time bloom
Within your sacred, cherished room

By day the garish light of sun
Will hide their beauty, every one
And all you dreamed you had begun
Like gossamer is hidden spun

My child the angel’s pure delight
Grows secret gardens in the night
Drunk on beauty, dressed in white
The purest of such perfect sight

So lost in dreams you might yet stray
And lose this sight ere break of day
So only this of you I pray
With flower moons a moment stay
