Dare

Dare to Dream

Dare to Dream (Photo credit: Karthick R)

Dare I wish?
These old forsaken hands
Can they clasp
To questions asked
Or works demand?

Dare I try?
To ignore the path of old
Be the scribe
To muted memory
And stories yet untold?

Dare I reach?
For brief moments of acclaim
Own these words
As more than musing
But a way to show my name?

Dare I dream?
There is meaning in my years
Not just each day
Drawing unto the next
In the veil of obscure tears?
