Jasmine Nights

Jasmine nights
Down corridors we
wander and whisper
such dark delights
Could be the brother
or the sister
of the Northern Lights
So soft, so bright

Lost melody
In dusty pages
of unopened books
find a sign of me
Is that indifference
or a stranger look
they give so readily
for everyone to see?

Bottled wine
There’s just trace
of us in nineteen
ninety nine
And all we meant
and might have been
And what lay behind
your twisted mind

Jasmine nights
A shadowed beach
under a silver moon
the dark highlights
Were you a dream
or a fateful boon
for losses put to rights
on Jasmine nights?
