Forever Now

May we have forever now?
Before the light of youth
Has dimmed our eyes
Or the touch of love
Has lost its sighs
May we have forever now?

May we have forever now?
A moment captured
In all time
To give this poet
A true rhyme
May we have forever now?

May we have forever now?
May our age
Prove like fine wine
A greater bond
A stronger twine
May we have forever now?

What is forever? It could be subjective. It could be a lifetime, it could be a matter of hours. I love that you have opened up this idea in this poem. Lovely. 🙂

  4. Forever till the end of this day, this week, this year, eternity? How nice it would be if forever could happen in some things ~ but not in all. Interesting piece Helen.

  5. You can have forever now, but it will only last a moment. 🙂
