Puppet Girl

Your trauma is his mastery
Your thoughts hallucinatory
And on the edge did you feel pain?
It might have been
But then again
Dissociation is a trickster
For the truth a fatal mixer
Puppet girl your threads are showing
And I’m wondering if you’re knowing

The room was white and clean
It’s hidden and obscene
And at that point could you have known?
You might have felt it
Over grown
The puppet master is so deep
He softly there invades your sleep
Puppet girl your head is lowered
As with pain and fear you’re showered

Puppet girl your threads are showing
And I’m wondering if you’re knowing?

  1. I think we all feel a degree of sympathy for the puppet that only exists as long as it has a puppet master. Sometimes people behave in the same way, or are manipulated to appear puppets in their own right. Very well written Helen. You do make me think.

  2. This one touched me deeply. Well done, Sis! 🙂

  3. Cleverly done Helen – how many there are that are pulled by the invisible strings to their own detriment.

  4. Awesome opening lines Helen! I love the repetition as well, genius

  5. Storm Rider says:

Nice.. this is so unique… well done!
