Escape

I have had a lucky escape
This world has granted reprieve
I am blessed by god-given grace
In a choice to linger or leave

I am shielded from blackened heart
I’m protected from political play
I’m no longer the unknowing pawn
Nor am I hunted, no longer the prey

I’m thanking my angels in turn
That know this world better than I
Without them I struggle, I burn
When far wiser now not to try

  1. I love the concept of the guardian angel. that sense of protection that they give us. The idea of a lucky escape is a good one also, I think most of our lives we make decisions that cause us pain and anguish and we somehow manage to escape the greater pain such things may have caused us. Lovely work Helen.

  2. I really like this piece. It gets me thinking.
Your imagery of guardian angels is very well done.
    Lovely.

  3. A beautiful piece, Sis. Truly we are watched and cared for each moment. 🙂 xxxx
