We were all dancing, lost in the wind
Where one would stop, another begin
All of this laughter, none of it sin
We were just dancing, lost in the wind
Follow the piper into the wood
Some music tempting, some music good
What of truths we have not understood?
Just follow the piper into the wood
We were all laughing in our belief
All our desires ephemeral, brief
Never saw darkness, never saw grief
We were just laughing in our belief
Just like a dervish, spin and then fall
How we arrived here, cannot recall
Was the sin great or was the sin small?
Just like a dervish we spin and we fall
We were all dancing into the night
All of this pleasure, all this delight
Too drunk on joy, too savage and bright
We’ll go on dancing into the night

((My invitation must have gotten lost in the mail)) 🙂 I need some “drunk on joy”. This was great, Sis. (hoping there was no hidden meaning that I missed somehow.) 🙂
Thanks Skye – it was meant to be a bit mysterious, kind of follow the piper type dancing dream, but it’s cool however it seems when it’s rad! 🙂 🙂
I always miss hidden meanings..lol 🙂
Great rhythm to this poem. I actually started weaving back and forth as I read it.
Cool, thanks Charles!! 🙂 🙂
🙂 beautiful
Thanks Ionia!! 🙂 🙂
Beautiful yet scary in the sense of blindly following the piper. 🙂
Thanks so much!! 🙂 🙂
