You always were
A problem to be solved
Riddle encased enigma
Slippery to behold
And who amongst us recognised
The lies that you have told?

You always were
A mystery of art
From depthless need
A history apart
But that’s the game
You told me from the start

I guess you are
A mystery to yourself
A problem child
Still left upon the shelf
Your own dark bane
To your precarious mental health

You always were
A solution out of reach
Performance art
That we have given each to each
But there is nothing
In this playground left to teach

You always were
A problem to be solved
A silver lining
When you promised purest gold
And so it shall be
Ever now till we are old
And so it shall be
Ever now till we are old

Like most people, I have a number of sides to me. The most interesting one probably emerges through my writing, hence this blog. I love to read, and also to write, and so this is a way to share both.

I could relate myself to the being talked about in your creation.
A beautiful job done, incorporating very true expressions.. Thanks for sharing.
