Bubble bath
Sheer indulgence
Senses primed
by water and perfume
I recline
A momentary movie star
luxuriating
in my mind
A happy reverie,
simple dream
One by one
the bubbles burst
Last ones forming
moving pictures
on the water’s surface
Scattered remnants
Translucent
and flat
The last hurrah
As if to say
it is time
to pull the plug
and go

The short staccato lines, especially in the final stanza, simulate burting bubbles nicely. Well done. Perhaps something like this would accentuate it even more:
it’s time
to pull
the plug
and go
That’s a good suggestion – I’m a bit slack about revising poems after I’ve written them, but if I ever seek to use this in later work or something to publish I’ll certainly take the suggestion on board. 🙂
