The pawn moves
like willing fodder
Foot soldier

Queen advances
Protected by rook
eyeing her prey

King holds back
The terrain unsure,
waiting news

Knights ride forth
flanked by bishop bright
armed by God

Achieve mate
Followed quick by check
Army falls

Clever. The brisk pace works well yet covers all the active elements. It is noted that the female charges into battle as the reticent male holds back but I’ve judged that your intent was honourable in this instance so you are released without charge.

    • LOL, thank you! I really only did that because the King needs to be protected at all costs in Chess, and in my mind the Knights are fairly manly!! 🙂 🙂 Still thank you, kind sir, for realising my intent was honourable. 🙂
