Writing Challenge – Conspiracy

There is nothing here for you
The broken memories have corroded
Like a fire they’ve burned through
And all you might have tested
Is now just a part of you
And I have tried
To make sense of this game
And long denied
The true intent within your aims
You are a conspirator
In hell’s legion I can see
Your twisted views
Have now destroyed, infected me
They tried so hard
To draw me down but I denied
For my individuality
And my sweet freedom
I long tried
And yet you came
And with your smile I am undone
I was a dismal moon
That yet could not eclipse your sun
So many years
Have passed since we last met
and I’ve rebuilt
But there is brokenness here yet
And was your plan
To heal a rift within your soul
By consuming me
If so your efforts took me whole
Conspiracy
Is but a term I read and sigh
This is my loss
This is my truth now till I die
Goodbye a fool
I am a child who lost their way
There is no road
And there are no gifts I may parlay
Thanks to your heart
I am now heartless
In a void
and any good
Within my spirit
Is destroyed
so thanks to you
I have no innocence remaining
You’ve bled your soul
And like a pomegranate staining
My sweet lips
It is a thought I know too well
You drew me down
To eat and drink
And stay in hell
But only you
Wear death’s sweet mask
Can I decide
To take your promise
or to laugh
To just deride?
It is too late
I am just hanging on the moon
I turn to hate
but it will turn
To love too soon

The rules
1) open an ms word document (or any other editor)
2) set a stop watch or your mobile of 5-10 mins.
3) your topic is at the foot of this post. DO NOT SCROLL DOWN TO SEE IT UNTIL YOU ARE READY WITH A TIMER.
4) fill the word document with as much wordage as you want. once you start writing, don’t stop.
5) do not cheat by going back and correcting spellings and grammar with spell check. (this is only meant for you to reflect on your control over sensible thought flow.)
6) you may or may not pay attention to punctuation and capitals.
7) at the end of your post write down the number of words.
8) do not forget to copy and paste the entire passage to your blog post with a new topic

I pass on this word challenge to any of my fellow bloggers who are inspired to participate:

  1. Wow Helen you have such a natural rhythm, I would never be able to complete this challenge with rhyme, I would have maybe two sentences lol This is intense, brutal, seething and brilliant. The sense of betrayal excellent work!

  2. speed writing – amazing
