Spoken

A love never spoken
Just a flower that’s pressed
Still fragrant years later
All tear drops unshed
And in this we have bled
We have bled

A step never taken
Given over to fear
Remembering joys never known
From words never said
And in this we have bled
We have bled

A door never opened
A whisper so unheard
Just regret in the shadows
Hanging over this bed
And in this we have bled
We have bled

A love never treasured
A passion denied
Just a harlequin dancing
By the piper we’re led
And in this we have bled
We have bled
