Gems

You are citrine
Yellow wonder
That’s capturing the sun

You are amethyst
Royal purple
Your kingdoms yet begun

You are ruby
Like a blood kiss
Pressed soft upon my cheek

You are emerald
Like wondrous water
Of nature’s purest creek

Marcasite
Will make you glitter
Through its darker rays

And pure amber
Gives warmth to
Last through coldest days

You are diamond
Brightly shining
Where angel tear drops fall

You’re a rainbow
Of this gem love
You are truly one and all

About helenvalentina

Like most people, I have a number of sides to me. The most interesting one probably emerges through my writing, hence this blog. I love to read, and also to write, and so this is a way to share both.

I love the imagery that you bring to life here with both color and symbolism.
