I’m balancing precariously
Embracing life’s uncertainty
Preparing for adversity
But praying for the sun
I’ll bet on my capacity
To sell my true diversity
To finally find the place for me
To let my spirit run
My life’s become hilarity
I find no linearity
There is no similarity
With all that I’d begun
And now in perpetuity
I live with incongruity
This may yet be the death of me
These miles that I must run

I usually don’t like rhyming poetry, but you have a gift, This was very good.
Thanks so much, I have a fondness for rhyming I must admit which I think derives from loving good lyrics so much. π I guess we are all products of our influences and preferences. π
That is very true and I do admire those who can do it well.
Here rhyme suits your purpose well, Helen.
We hang by threads, precious threads and where we go after starting out is in a way a mystery.
i like your
“There is no similarity
With all that I’d begun”
that speaks to me deeply.
Best wishes
john
