Lazy days
Mid afternoon heat
Languorous looking
For a long-lost treat
Summer fruits spilling
Like gold at my feet

Hot afternoons
Spent with friends and wine
Convivial, constant
Pleasure is a crime
Summer fruits glisten
Like everything fine

Lost evening hours
The balcony replete
With benefits, bursting
The blessing complete
Summer fruits spilling
Like gold at my feet

About helenvalentina

Like most people, I have a number of sides to me. The most interesting one probably emerges through my writing, hence this blog. I love to read, and also to write, and so this is a way to share both.

Your next book Helen should be a cookbook with recipes written in poetry e.g. Fresh Fruit Languoria a la Balconie etc… Nice work.
