From Paris With Love

I LOVE PARIS

I LOVE PARIS (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The words spoke ‘with love’
But cut like a shard
Meaningless words
On a gilt-edged card

From Paris with love
So perhaps it is true
It was love from a city
And nothing from you

Not words of a lover
Not words from the heart
No lingering sadness
While we were apart

The words lied ‘with love’
Still hitting too hard
Meaningless words
On a gilt-edged card

Like most people, I have a number of sides to me. The most interesting one probably emerges through my writing, hence this blog. I love to read, and also to write, and so this is a way to share both.

… touching piece. Beautiful & melancholic. Loved the smooth flow.

On the positive side, isn’t it the thought that counts? A nice piece Helen – well done.
