Name

I name you darkness
I name you death
I name you whispers
On dying breath

I name you coldness
I name you vice
I named you once and
I won’t name twice

I call your name now
I call you out
I call you certainty
Riddled by doubt

I call you wicked
I call you lost
I’ll call your piper
You name the cost

  6. Sticks and stones… 🙂 Love it.
Rhyme, meter, flow, rhythm, tone, concept… it’s so hard to do one of these well in a poem. But it looks easy when you do because they all always come out so well. 🙂

Fateful forbidding in this ominous piece. Skillful in theme and style Helen – well done.
