Nothingness

Haunted Enough?

Haunted Enough? (Photo credit: mich&pics)

Footsteps in an empty room
Afternoon shadowplay
Well before noon
Ghostly images
Flickering on the stair
Feeling of presence
When nothing is there

Lights shining dimly
When switches are off
Lost faces like images
On virgin cloth
Banging of doorways without
Vibration or breeze
Room turns to icicles
Chilled by degrees

Footsteps in an empty room
Hear people whispering
Absent too soon
Search in the cloudy night
For a star to wish upon
There but a moment, like
Nothingness gone
