Lower back too stationary
Upper back moves, repetition
Imbalance now is at the centre
Every word that I have written
Sinews and creation’s drive
Any wisdom drawn from age is
Yet you’re forced to still create
You’ll regret this very soon
I am servant to the muse now
Lured back before this screen to
To find balance in my day
The vigour that I knew in youth
When this novel is complete
See this stamina is only
And it seems all sense and reason
When the final thing I find is

I’m busy writing a novel but I find my back is laying siege on me. I am at war with my body in the need to create so this prompt was very timely for me!! 🙂
Hmmmm…you and your back, sad that it will govern so much of your activity. Keep on at the book though i will be worth it though your back may well disagree. Have a good day.
Thanks Michael, hope you have a great day too! 🙂 😉
I feel for your Helen and I can relate my back and eyes want to give out on me. Sending you healing vibes =) Fantastically done!
Thanks so much!! 🙂 🙂
I understand completely. For me, it’s the back and the knees. But we have to do what we must when the muse calls.
Yes, we must, the muse will wait for no-one!! Thanks!! 🙂 🙂
I have had back problems since getting tossed out of a car at 21. You need a good chair, right height desk and a real good pillow behind you. I know you know, but in case I’m just saying. I feel your pain every day.
I have one of those saddle chairs and my laptop sits on a box to be at the right height, but I think any set up, if sat at too long, can be an issue! Thanks for your comment and sympathy!! 🙂 🙂
Yep, that about sums it up!! 🙂 🙂
