Sparkle

A lover's gaze

A lover’s gaze (Photo credit: Rodney_F)

Your eyes would sparkle
Meeting mine
And in these moments was our history
A full lifetime
Every thought and feeling
Reaching out
As though we knew the answers, what this
Was about

That glorious sparkle
Drew me in
Like soul twins split from when we fell
Dizzily spin
And never a word was spoken
To clarify
The sense when we began to live, we
Began to die

Your eyes would sparkle
Meeting mine
And in these moments was our history
A full lifetime

  3. Helen this is such a beautifully sad poem and at the same time the language you use is so engagingly lyrical. I love that thought of the beginning heralding the end. Great stuff.
