Modern Day Muse

Brief as a tweet
On line communion
Hearts are italics
Fluid-less union

Wit is all brevity
Blink and you’ll miss
Feather-stroke touches
Barely a kiss

It’s all in the stats dear
The times that you’re liked
Momentary inspiration
Popularity spikes

A modern-day muse
Is a passing sensation
Cutting a swathe
Through your living-room nation

About helenvalentina

Like most people, I have a number of sides to me. The most interesting one probably emerges through my writing, hence this blog. I love to read, and also to write, and so this is a way to share both.

  1. How true Helen, we live in a world of what I call accumulators, people who come into your world momentarily, say they follow then never reappear, and I wonder what the point is. Your poems always spark comment from me. I look forward to reading each morning.

The concept behind this poem is cool, imho; I also like the way this reads.

Sorry to have missed you for the past few days — somehow WP cut off all the email updates!
    Love the poems —
