I do not crave change
Not now
There were times in my life
I needed diversion
Adventure just to breathe
Not now
The hum of big city streets
Was a melody to me
Not dark discordant artistry
Not now

It’s been over a year to reach
Today
When I returned so briefly
To old stomping grounds
But felt more alien
Today
The need for speed has passed me
Like a phantom on these streets
These days I crave less to repeat
Today

  1. I get the feeling of time passing and our reluctance to accept change, that we crave a life less hurried and more settled. Sadly for all of us change does happen and we either go with it or tend to get run over. Nice photo of our Opera House. My day begins, soon to work.

Me too! Great words I can definitely relate to! 😉

  3. I feel like that. Although, now and again, I do want to recapture those days and go a bit mad. Just for a wee while, mind. Then back to normal. ;)x

  4. Al says:

Sometimes we have to go back in order to see that the only way is forward.

  5. I do not like looking back. I am all for the peace I feel looking forward. The past and its painful memories can stay there where they belong–in the past. 😀

I loved this; it gave me a really good feeling inside. Thanks, Sis!!

It was lovely eating dinner this evening whilst catching up on your work. Not sure why, but you are not showing up in my email. I went to check on you because I had not seen you in a couple of days, and there you were…busy as ever. I am going to “unfollow” and then “follow” you again and see if that helps!!

    Big hugs…much love!! Me!!

  6. I am hoping for a peaceful passionate life (no drama a dash of adventure like traveling but no angsty messy emotional drama). This is beautiful Helen

  7. You have some interesting and unique stuff here, Helen. Thanx for sharing it with us. Have a wonderful day.
