Softly

Snow crystals 2b

Softly falling rain
Against the window pane
Undulates a rhythm
Sings a sad refrain

Gently falling snow
As above, below
Crystalline and bright
Icy inner glow

Deftly written line
Ode to the Divine
Only of the best
Aging, vintage wine

Softly beating heart
Where all dreamers start
Love when we’re together
And more when we’re apart

About helenvalentina

Like most people, I have a number of sides to me. The most interesting one probably emerges through my writing, hence this blog. I love to read, and also to write, and so this is a way to share both.

I am sitting here early Monday morning reading this poem. The rain is playing a gentle tune above my head on my tin roof. As I sip my cup of coffee, I enjoy your words; and all I can say to you is, “Thank you.” For sharing your talent and friendship with me….thank you, Sis!
