Three Days

Three days deep
Rolling in my sleep
Closing eyes that weep
Secrets that I keep
Three days deep

Three days long
Moving with the throng
Praying to belong
Offering my song
Three days long

Three days dark
Like children in a park
Following a lark
Such a subtle spark
Three days dark

Three days lost
Didn’t count the cost
Or recognise the host
Who will bleed us most
Three days lost

  1. ‘Who will bleed us most’ I like that image, well done Helen, another engaging piece.

  2. Love the rhyme scheme and I agree that ‘Who will bleed us most’ is a fantastic line.
