Silk

The caress was like silk
Soft whispers along the arm
Barely a touch
A ghost’s kiss
Ephemeral delight

Moments later
The imprint still shivered
But like an afterthought
Or waking from a dream
And in that second
Desperate memory queried
Did that touch occur?

Silk moths weave a dream
Colourless and light
Disturbed by heavy touch
Brittle beauty
Just like that brief interlude
Wafting softly
On my skin

Nice…silkiness and smoothness in the reciting of this one. I don’t wear anything but silk to bed. It is like a second skin, and I can’t stand to feel restricted.
