Global Financial Crisis Limericks

There once was a banker supreme
Who exhorted to all ‘live the dream!’
He replaced all their need
With more profitable greed
And on their naivety schemed

There once was a government hack
Who envied the wealth that he lacked
Should he regulate less
He could fill his hope chest
With the profits from hidden kick backs

In these days of financial collapse
Tis not good that our morals can lapse
When they’re ‘too big to fail’
Where all pinned by their nail
To pecuniary loss and mishaps
