The melody
Flows over me
In waves

Reminding me
Of afternoons
Long passed

Where laughter called
To moments in
A kiss

And lyrics sung
Told stories from
A dream

The melody
Remembers me
Long gone

It brings to mind
A youthful heart
Once mine

And memories
Still linger on
The vine

And memories
Still linger on
The vine

  1. Sometimes the memories are all that is left and a nice thing about them, they seem to become sweeter over time. (the good ones that is). Nice poem.
