The falcon has escaped
The falconer’s reach
Soaring triumphant
Across blue-black sky
A piecing eye
Blinks careful against the cold
There are harbingers here
In winged flight
The aim has faltered
Man is bested
A moment’s conflagration
Passes in silence
The falcon carries knowledge
Of risk and escape
Like a talisman against
The predator’s intent

Beautiful and what a perfect photo to accompany it.

Jonathon Livingstone Falcon.
Yep, kind of! LOL! 🙂 🙂
Beautiful.
Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
The falcon does not really escape. It seems a fragile freedom that is really limited, yet wins in the end, against a predator greater than itself. This is the true description of human endurance against the odds. This is excellent work, thank you :).
Thank you, very insightful analysis! 🙂 🙂
Many layers of symbolism in this.
