Perfect Possession

Dragon's Flight

Dragon’s Flight (Photo credit: jcc_seveq)

I have always been
A case of perfect possession
And yet it seems that I belie
The belief this is always bad
The elemental that
Reads and breathes through me
Demands new words and poetry, and yet
It isn’t always in control
Of all the minor choices I have had

I have always dreamt
Dreams born of a darker hue
Spiritually walked hand in hand
With chaos and duality’s view
Sometimes my eyes may be
Lost in some scenery
Deeper than the images I survey
And yet within such boundaries
Still little kindnesses convey

I have always been
A case of perfect possession
I do not writhe or try
For freedom from the stronger bonds of love
It may be that
This sad mis-adventure
Exists only to prove
That so below is so above.
