Abraxas and Maat
Playing chess
Determining the balance
Of light and dark
Life and death
Growth and entropy
Redemption has not strayed
To this hall for eons now
Supplicants to lesser gods
Are shunned
We witness here
The threshold of champions
Ancient hands
Moving pawns
Across the board of time
If a feather were to drop
Upon the play now
It would shatter
The world entire
Just a feather
And the balance
Is relinquished
To the fire.
