Sweet Lullaby 2

A sweet lullaby
To calm you to sleep
To whisper of thoughts
You will treasure and keep

A soft melody
At the end of the day
To give your dreams flight
As you drift away

The lyrics so soft
As angels might breathe
Of heroes and adventures
You’re safe to believe

A sweet lullaby
And love’s soft embrace
So nightmares and fears
Leave not even a trace

I used to love when my mom would read to me and sing me to sleep! Thank you for the smile and memories 🙂

  2. Ever noticed how the sleepiest poets can write such beautiful lullabys when their muse doesn’t let them sleep? Wish they worked on us! LOL

Great poem my dear friend 😉 huggggs
