Just wanting to ask if anyone is having trouble accessing their Reader at the moment? I try to access it from my dashboard and it keeps saying http://www.wordpress.com is set to private and I need to ask the owner for permission…but it’s from my dashboard and I’m logged in.
So I’m wondering if there is a glitch right now in WP and if so if others have experienced it?
Anyone else having this problem…and if not, have you ever, or do you have any advice as to how to resolve this?
Any help will be most appreciated!

The other blog post was minutes before I got notification of yours. And now I’m getting the same thing 😦 It must be a WordPress glitch
Fingers crossed they fix it soon – again, I so appreciate you responding so quickly…it is a relief in a way to hear it is more widespread – not that I wish difficulties on others but at least it means it’s unlikely to be something stupid I’ve done in my settings inadvertently or something 🙂 …..hopefully it will be resolved in WP soon.

I cant get into my reader or my stats page they say marked as private by owner and as I am logged in as myself, I need to log in as someone else…..I’m guessing glitch yes!

Hopefully not – it seemed to be someting most people were experiencing right at that time, so hopefully just some glitch with WP. 🙂
The forums are full of complaints so I think it is an ongoing issue. Hopefully things will be repaired soon. 😉

Yes, I can get in now…obviously a WP glitch…
Mine was like that and it just came back about a minute ago. Maybe they’re doing some maintenance on the servers.
Probaby something like that…it was a bit unnerving when it happened though.

I have this same problem two or three times a week .
So it obviously has been happening a bit of late? perhaps they are doing work on the server and that’s what happens when you try to access at that time?
I figured that maybe there was a lot of traffic , people posting a lot . I just do something else . Good night ….

i know they are working on a new dashboard, i dont know if that is the issue or not. you wouldnt be using the test “new” dashboard tho, if you did not click it to try it out. and yes, as someone noted when something like this happens, check the forums. if you dont see questions on it, and info, then ask there too. glad it’s fixed. aloha.

for what it is worth I just pulled my Reader up with no issues, but I do have another curiosity lol Yahoo wont let me delete anything from Spam or Trash, or Empty either lol. I have like 300 emails sitting in Trash
computers are odd….hope your issue resolves itself quickly…maybe yahoo is doing maintenance too 🙂

I haven’t had the problem today …. but there’s no telling what WP will do in an hour’s time! Hang in there. I feel the pain …. these reader glitches are AWFUL.
Yes, it did feel very strange. I’m sort of used to my reader freezing sometimes, but being locked out of your own reader does feel very odd, and not particularly nice. 🙂 Still glad to hear it hasn’t vexed you. 🙂
Well, I have been vexed, that’s for sure … but not today, thankfully! Sometimes it just sort of *blanks* on me. So I go through the rigamarole of deleting history and clearing out the caches .. etc. … oh well. Can’t complain, right? o.O
My reader isn’t working well either, and wordpress keeps logging me off! Grrr…
They must be doing some maintenance or something today…lots of odd things happening it seems. Hope it settles for you soon! 🙂

I certainly hope tomorrow isn’t crap on WordPress like today was. I had everything from double comments to missing responses to no reader to UGGGGHHH. In some ways I think i was lucky to be away from the computer!

Not sure why you’re just seeing it recently Helen. Happens to me frequently – that or it doesn’t show any feeds. I guess I just choose to go through my reader at the worst possible chance since some people have never seen it, LOL.
Wow…perhaps I’ve been lucky up till now…still if it happens on and off to all of us at least it doesn’t mean it’s someting any one individual has done…I initially thought I’d done something in my dashboard or something that had set it off!! 🙂

I’ve just been having problems liking posts in the reader. After the page refreshes, the likes disappear. Like I never “liked” them…..
I’ve had that happen too, or they just don’t take at all…very strange…sometimes the like button doesn’t load so I put a ‘like’ in the comment. 🙂
I’ve been having trouble with wordpress since last week. Weird things like slow loads of wordpress sites, reader not loading properly, and now my “likes” are not registering properly. So, I click on the Like button but nothing happens. I’ve also changed browsers and disabled extensions. Maybe they’re going through an upgrade.
I think someone mentioned they were doing a new dashboard design so maybe that’s it. Hopefully it all settles soon. 🙂
