Sparrow song
Morning troubador
welcomes Spring
Winter frost
Coat of brittle white
sadly worn
Poetry
Way to speak of truth
with design
Coffee run;
See the stitched up suits
in full flight
At day’s end
ponder; was the race
worth the time?

That last one is great. I think everyone she stop to consider that question.
Thank you…I gguess we rarely do, and if we did it might be quite unsettling for our day to day life, but you are very right, there are bigger questions for life, and that is probably one of them. 🙂
Definitely.
They probably sigh at the end of the day and know that it wasn’t..
Thanks, yes, probably, if they are self aware…. 🙂

Nice little collection.
run the right race and it’s always worth the time.
That’s a good way of thinking about it – now the challenge is to know what the right race is!! 🙂
Really liked the Poetry one and the last one! As always exquisitely executed! 🙂
Thank you so much!!! 🙂
Bravo Helen…. great haiku’s 😉
Thank you!! 🙂
I love them all but the second one it my favorite =) Awesome!
Thanks so much! I find haiku quite chllenging and I’m not sure I really do the correct form, so its great when people like them anyway! 🙂
I think they are great =) I have always loved haiku but I find it to be very challenging as well
“Coffee Run” is great. Evocative and subtly humourous. I can almost hear the straining seams and the flap of super 100 merino.
LOL…exactly! I used to work in Sydney in the main city centre and you’d see this happening all the time…your description is very apt!! :
