The Boardroom here’s
A medieval court
The games here played
Are of the vicious sort
It’s just who you know
And who the ‘king’ may blame
That will see you rise
Or kills your game

You future plays
With truth or rumour spread
And words that ebb
Could flow and cost your head
Your number crunching
Your powerpoints
Decide which courtiers
The CEO annoints

A presentation is
Just a power play
Which shows the gladiator world
Is here to stay
If you’d survive
To strive another day
Remember, best with kings
To simply bow, obey.

Oh so very true. I’m the court jester in mine, get to make fun of the king that way. 😀

  2. I no longer need to enter integrated board rooms. Thank you God.

    This is a very clever:

    “And words that ebb
Could flow and cost your head”
