Adversity calls
spirit; these hero soldiers
face uncertain dawn
Hunger crawls within
the heart; hunter primes his bow,
innocent prey falls
Blessed are those that
forgive; stone heart turns away
a graveyard angel
Faith trembles before
the altar; a moment of
dread belief begins

Thank you so much – that is so kind of you! I have a few things I need to juggle today – last day of Easter holidays for those of us in Australia – but if I have time I will try to follow this up. If I don’t manage to today I know my week ahead at work will be a bit out of control, so if I do not follow up please know I am very grateful you thought of me. š

Hello there! No pressure, no hurries, just a nod in your direction. I love your blog. I’ve nominated you for the Epically Awesome Award for Epic Awesomeness. You can read more at http://jrosenberry1.wordpress.com/2013/03/31/vilas-are-epic-milos-and-marko-are-epic/. (This award is pretty simple … ten things about yourself and nominate ten people. I only nominated five though!) AND you have your choice of TWO images to use for a badge! Happy Easter, and all the best to you!
Thank you so much – you are too kind to me. No sure if I’ll have time to follow up this weekend, but if not, thank you anyway, as I always appreciate your kindness and support. š

I really love the imagery and wording of that stanza.
Thanks so much, so much appreciated! š
Chopped beautifully. Just, the way the words chop – beautiful. Great poem.
Thank you so much, that is so kind! š
That line speaks volumes….Faith trembles before the alter…Your thoughts sway like the pendulum, the build up is intense, and paddling….Nice work, Helen
Thank you, so much appreciated!! š
I am certainly jealous of your haiku ability as I still struggle š
Thanks – I actually find it quite hard…I tend to write lots of words, given half a chance, so haiku is a good discipline for someone like me! š
