Surprised?

Surprised? (Photo credit: SaZeOd)

I should be surprised
What you did was surprising
Or it would be
For anyone else

Instead I’m resigned
To the odd but habitual
Way you interact
With the world

No-one would believe
This story anyway
If I told it
Warts and all

So it’s just our secret
Though I’m not even sure
You understand the story
Or yourself, at all

What a teasing poem, who? what’s the secret? what’s the story? Ince through does not suffice, but the clues reveal nothing with subsequent reads … just a feeling that this is a great little poem!

    • LOL…an imaginary person based loosely on various people I’ve known in my life…I think we all know at least one person like this, the type who acts with so little self-awareness that its actually shocking to anyone looking on, LOL. 🙂
