Lady Macbeth

This year Lady Macbeth
Is less repentant
Cries on cue and wails
Claws the walls
Draws tempests down and gails
Before the ad break yet curtails
Her scripted misery

The lady makes such good tv
The executives are truly thrilled
Counting all the blood that’s spilled
And voice so unique
Loud and shrill
Topping every bill
Such scripted misery

Kingdoms falling with such ease
Coming up next week they tease
The vanquished hall of brittle fame
And all the co stars named
Prepared to take the blame
To prove we’re all the same
Such scripted misery
