An Education

You were an education to me
You showed me what I didn’t
Want to see
How souls corrode and hearts
Too quickly bleed
And if you’ve once surrendered
Never free

You were to innocence a teacher cold
The truths you hid and all the
Lies you told
A fantasy you forced me to
Uphold
A soul ignited thus is
Always sold.

About Helen

I'm drawn to blogging as a way to share ideas and consider what makes us who we are. Whether it's in our working life or our creativity, expression is a means to connect.
