Water Dragon

I slither in depths
Water fed
Consuming my tail
Shedding my crusted
River formed skin

I am older than you
Water child
I hold you in my embrace
Shelter as you grow
River formed skin

Do not forsake me
Water heart
Treading your earth
Forgetting your home’s
River formed skin

I’ll hold you once more
Water soul
I birthed you within
The water’s cold depths
River formed skin
