Hi
Just popping in briefly to say I’m moving home on Monday, and it’s an inter-state move so it is lengthy, complicated, drawn out over a number of days, stressful, etc etc, so I may not be around much at all until at least a week from now (and that’s if it all goes smoothly…fingers crossed!!)
I still have poems scheduled to post every three days so it may seem like I’m here, but if I seem like a ghost otherwise, the move is why. Right now I am surrounded by boxes, and my only waking thoughts seem to be ‘what is left to pack, what box will that fit in, how do I mark the boxes properly so the removalists don’t confuse them’ and so forth…
Hardly the fuel of creative fire and also not the head space to properly read and appreciate the wonderful work of all my fellow bloggers! Apologies!!! I’m hanging out now for the Christmas break when I should have more time to catch up with everyone’s work!
The good news I have, though, is I’ve already secured a new job to go to, which is much quicker than expected, so my guardian angels are obviously working overtime for me at the moment!
Catch up soon!
Cheers
Helen V
On the move
Like a leaf in the wind
Like a river flowing
Yearning for the ocean
Like a cloud searching eternity
Like the seasons going round
As the light from the stars
Streaming down to earth
As thoughts that travel
To far of realms
As the intellect that flies
Into labyrinths of mystic spheres
On the move, in the moment
in Movement in the moment
Moving with the moment
Movement of the moving stillness
The motion of rest
Let the winds bring you good tidings
Sunshine and smiles, to fill
The moments
Thank you, how lovely! A beautiful poem! 🙂 🙂
Pleasure. One of my favourite lines come from Robert Frost
The woods are lovely dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep
That’s my favourite poem of all time, thanks for referencing it!! 🙂
Moving is almost always a pain, but you seem to be coping with its impact well. I wish you a disaster-free move, and a comfortable settling in the new place. I’m not sure why you have a photo of an old jet bomber with eight engines, but I am pleased that you seem to have everything organised, even if it means a lot of work, packing, unpacking, getting settled, etc. I look forward to hearing from the non-ghostly you in the near future.
Thanks Malcolm! 🙂
Good luck Helen I hope it all goes smoothly.
Thanks Michael – I’m packing up the laptop this morning – the move starts bight and early tomorrow morning! Fingers crossed it goes seamlessly! 🙂 🙂
Good luck, I’m sure all will be fine. Think of those coastal sea breezes you’ll be moving to.
So glad about the guardian angels securing the bottom line job. All good thoughts for the relocation!
Thanks so much Philippa!! 🙂 🙂
Good luck with the move! 🙂
Thanks so much!! 🙂 🙂
Good luck with the move.
Thanks John!! 🙂 🙂
GOOD LUCK with the move, Helen.
Take care how you go.
Best Wishes for happiness in your new place.

Thank you John!! 🙂 🙂
Blessings on your trip… and congrats on the job lined up.
Thanks so much!! 🙂 🙂
Congrats on the job Helen! I am with you on the move, I like the unpacking decorating bit not so much the cleaning, house in disarray part. I have done a lot of packing the apartment isn’t so bad because I had organized it thoroughly but I don’t just have to pack for myself. I have a 7 year old and I can’t pack her stuff until the last minute and she wants to look in the boxes and remove everything. Hubbie has a basement storage/wood-working room and it is a mess, everything is covered in sawdust and he saves everything broken or not. I have to wash all the clothes that were stored there tomorrow.
Thanks – mine is mostly done now, just some rubbish removal to arrange, a bit more unpacking and need to get one of the laundry washers checked but otherwise I’m in nesting mode! 🙂 how did yours go?
Hi Helen,
Hope you’re move was smooth and you’re settling happily. All the best in the New Year!
Thanks so much, move went well, still settling and nesting but its all good. Have a wonderful new year and 2015!! 🙂 🙂
