Skyfall

The planets are too close
Across horizons hang
As glowing, ripened fruit
They’ve sneaked up upon us
As we slept
Into our atmosphere
They’ve crept
Like children who were lost too long ago

The planets hover now
The vehicles of gods
Returning ancient kings
Does Arthur return to
This green land
As something we
Should understand?
Across my mind far darker portents blow

The planets re-align
A skyfall overhead
They say that Lucifer
Did fall
His dying star is
Here recalled
And its passage where the brave would never go

  1. This reminded me of the 2012 planetary alignment predicted by the Maya and that the ancient Gauls believed the Sky could fall on their heads (according to Asterix the Gaul) 😀
