Slicing flesh
So fine no blood erupts
from translucency
Whisper cruel,
deluded pride corrupts
all human decency

Sweet laced words
that hide your whiplash smile
Qualified support
Friendship’s mask
will shield the crocodile
from well deserved retort

We’re the thing
our actions prove us be
behind every lie
I can wait
for others yet to see
your words so dark and dry

Grabbing prize
This brittle battleground
Public mimicry
Such deep truth
within your soul is found
corroded jealousy
