Fair Play

The Games You Play

The Games You Play (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

You never knew fair play
It never was your way
For those who follow rules
Brought derision and dismay

You always played to win
No sense of dark or sin
All others were just fools
Who never could begin

To play your darker sport
Their actions came to nought
And so it is with me
As in your web I’m caught

You never knew fair play
No virtues to display
It’s how it had to be
You don’t care anyway
