There is a new dynamic here
Eyes cannot hold their gaze
There’s something different in you dear
A weaker connection now I fear
Your eyes distracted, glazed
A new dynamic takes its place
Within our complex games
A dark, distorted, angular place
And of love and mercy not a trace
We cannot be the same
This new dynamic grows from old
Evolution to our souls
It’s there in all the lies we’ve told
And I’m certain, should I be so bold
We neither care nor can control

I go along with this Helen, my life needs a new dynamic, well something that I call a giant kick start.
Lovely thank you.
Thanks Michael!! 🙂 🙂
Was this about a friendship ending? That is the way it felt to me. Brought me back to that feeling. Was just curious what was behind it. I think I am caught up!!!!! Yay!! Actually it was a perfect way to spend coffee time this morning!!! Love you!
I wrote it quit a while ago, based on a phrase in a magazine, but I think yes, the flavour is sort of about a friendship ending of sorts. 🙂 🙂
Your poem, especially the second verse, expresses so well the present state of in the evolution of humanity. There are definitely “new dynamics” at work. But I do hope that we-humans learn to care enough to change our course.
Very wise reflection, and agree with you!! 🙂 🙂
