Up In The Air

I am here
Up in the air
You are clear
I’m darker there
You’re hope’s spear
I am despair
There’s no cheer
Up in the air

I would fly
Up in the air
Perfect spy
Hidden out there
I will fall
Cannot repair
We are all
Up in the air

  1. This one puzzled me Helen, are you commenting that we are spending our lives never sure of where we might be heading? I like that you have me thinking, so early in the morning and that hurts a little….lol

    • LOL, actually its more prosaic in its origins than that…a writing exercise I did a few weeks ago when I wrote poems based on titles of DVDs or from book covers and just going with those, so this came from the Clooney film Up in the Air, and the phrase just kind of had a playful but somewhat despairing type feel to it so the poem wrote itself that way, LOL!! 🙂 🙂

  2. I’m of to look at DVD’s 😉 nice one girl.
