Warrior Headdress – for Prompt 29 Rorschach Test

rorshach

Warrior headdress fit for a God
Eyes slit behind steel
Fears emerge, submerge, congeal
This glittering morning as we rise
Reclaim all our death-soaked battle cries

Warrior headdress, archangel wings
Sombre in solitude
Refracting darker attitude
The elements severe but at your command
We wait upon word of your dread, darkling plan

Warrior headdress, alien aspect strong
Devils, dervishes dancing
Tremble, savagery lancing
our sides, oh so vulnerable to unseen spears
The graves we build, awash with our tears

Warrior headdress, carved for the divine
Featherlike tendrils catching
the lost souls we are snatching
Returning the sons to the slumbering earth
Back, back to the source of all living birth

I’ve copied the picture she used as theΒ RorschachΒ prompt so the poem makes sense. πŸ™‚ Well, I hope it at least helps it make sense, I suppose one can never know what others will see in a Rorschach picture!!
