Midnight blooms
Eclipse the flowers of
Lost afternoons
They open with such
Artistry
The night is queen to
All beauty

Born of dark
These flowers hold such
A special spark
They live a moment
Just one night
The rarest and the
Briefest sight

Midnight rose
The one the angels wept
And chose
I wish I could have
Had the time
To smell the scent
So lost, sublime

    Very touching piece. Enjoyed this.

  2. I like this one Helen, I sometimes feel that lfe is about those one moments we get to have, share sometimes, where a rare beauty appears, if only , sadly, for a moment or two. But if you are there at the time, everything is so worth while.

  3. Skye says:

What a beautifully touching poem. So sad that something so lovely is so short lived.

  4. Beautiful poem my dear Sis xxx

  5. Stunning Helen I agree with Skye but at the same time I think it is that fragility that makes something beautiful
