Your eyes are crystals
Looking to heaven
Fallen Catholic boy
Your poetry is beauty
Structured and even
Mother’s pride and joy
Your deeds are darkness
Poisoned chalice
Like a demon seed
Through the looking-glass
Rather like Alice
What do you breed?
Saint or sinner here
Standing so still
Blink and you’ll miss me
You’re too mercurial
Do just what you will
But don’t try to kiss me
I’m not Persephone
Not what you wish of me

WOW! This is awesome!
Thanks so much!! 🙂 🙂
I smiled when I read this Helen, ‘fallen Catholic boy’ and saints and sinners, I loved the images you created as you could be talking about me in some ways. Though I’d like the think I was both, if that is possible…lol…maybe wishful thinking.
It’s probably good to be a little of both saint and sinner, to have a full life at any rate, LOL! It’s based on someone I once knew, though he was probably far more sinner, and of a rather dark variety too! 🙂 🙂
I gathered it may have been. Dark sinners can be a worry.
He was, but he is long gone thankfully! Still makes an interesting subject for the odd poem or two though!! 🙂
Another fantastic piece with fine emotion and description.
Thanks so much!! 🙂 🙂
So I started following and forgot to go into my reader to click receive posts… so now that we have that sorted … smiles ~ the not so virtuous sinner, the bad boys the ones with edge that can mislead you off the cliff. How tempting they are at times though… nicely penned 🙂
Very true, thanks so much! 🙂 🙂

Another awesome piece Googled the legend…..glad I did. 🙂 xxxx
