I hear the softest melody
Above my bed head canopy
Its lyrics will encompass me
And from its call I’m never free
I heard it when I was a child
The call of hunger and the wild
And you may say I’ve been beguiled
But in my soul I’m reconciled
I live to hear this dragon song
The only place I can belong
My heart beats steady, true and strong
And I will never see this wrong
I hear the softest melody
At night he comes to comfort me
And I will love him endlessly
My dragon deep within the sea

Great poem. I think I like this more because I’m editing a chapter that involves a dragon.
Cool Charles, thanks!! 🙂 🙂
Lovely Helen I get the sense of comfort and safety in this poem nicely done.
Thanks so much!! 🙂 🙂

Gorgeous Helen I could really feel your spirit and heart in this
Thanks so much, dragons are special to me!! 🙂
I know and I can see why because dragons suit you =)
This is sweet. Almost like your lullaby. So peaceful. Really love this.
Thank you – it is like a lullaby suppose, a magical one!! 🙂
magic,magical, magnificent, I stand enchanted, M’lady.
Thank you so much!! 🙂 🙂
A lullaby …but so much more….
Really enjoyed this, Helen!
Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
I love dragons and love this poem 🙂
Thank you – I love dragons too, which is probably rather obvious, LOL! 🙂 🙂
What?? I had no idea!! :P:P 😛 I need to read a good fantasy book with dragons can you recommend any??
Oddly enough I don’t read lots of fantasy, even though I’ve loved dragons since I can remember. Game of Thrones is an obvious one, but I can’t say I’ve read it – only watched the series! 🙂
I didn’t watch that and now feel i really missed out but think i may prefer to read the books first anyway 🙂 Thanks 🙂
Sleep is the time when the barriers to other worlds are thinnest. 🙂
Very true, thank you!! 🙂 🙂
