Taken

Smile 2

Smile 2 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I was taken by your smile
Warm eyes crinkled
Deep etched dimples
Radiating something inner
That was laughing to be free

Azure eyes can really sparkle
When the lilt of silver laughter
Joins the image
So uniquely and so completely
Your own

I was taken by your warmth
Like a fire flaming softly
In deep winter
Keeping all the cold and monsters
Far away

Was taken by your smile
For it was completely other
Completely you and so, so bright
It simply beckoned
Me to stay
